Let Bangkok speak for itself

When you have a hangover, an easy thing to do is to post pictures instead of a brilliant piece of text. Here are three pictures taken around Chaktuchak market, in Bangkok, less than a month ago. We were walking around there, and suddenly the national anthem played, and everybody stood still for about half a minute, and then it stopped, and people continued doing what they were doing.

Canciones

Necesito controlar tu vida
Saber quien te besa y quien te abriga

Algo contigo

Ya no puedo continuar espiando
Día y noche tu llegar adivinando
Ya no se con que inocente excusa
Pasar por tu casa...
Ya me quedan muy pocos caminos
Aunque pueda parecerte un desatino

No quisiera yo morirme sin tener
Algo contigo,
Sin tener, algo contigo,
Sin tener, algo... contigo.

The metafruitphosis

I had a joint...

It was way too strong...

The metamorphosis started...

And that's my face now...

Short

I'm about to smoke a joint with the great Al, landiman and Kim... nothing else is needed for this post, and for what's to come, I guess.

(by the way, those three guys haven't been writing, on their blogs, lately.)

Things I leave behind

Today I learnt that the university where I taught some courses has gone bankrupt. Funny things that happen: my CV doesn't look as good now. Anyway, it had to be that way. This is just what happens when you hire professors like me.

And to continue with this post, a couple of verses by Vicente Gallego:

"...Un nítido recuerdo del placer que hallé en ti
se dibuja en el aire contrariado de mi vivo deseo todavía."

"...A clear memory of the pleasure I found on you
emerges from the angry air of my vivid desire, still."

You should read his books. Best Spanish poet nowadays.

And finally, a random picture from flickr. Nice thing to be a father, and weird post:

Hong Kong Pictures (1)

I find buildings and buses in Hong Kong fascinating. Here are a bunch of buildings, one bus station and a line of buses... There's also a bit of my experimentation with black and white pictures... first time I try. Enjoy! (there will be more to come soon...)

...mmm... actually just this two pictures, because flickr doesn't seem to work. my apologies.
